Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I currently accept the following insurances:
Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross, Carelon, Cigna, Optum, Quest
What are your rates?
My rate is $160 for 50 minute sessions. For cash pay clients, I can provide a superbill for reimbursement.
Do you provide in-person services?
I am currently only providing virtual services to California residents.
How often are sessions?
I encourage clients to begin with weekly sessions while we establish a therapeutic alliance and foundation for treatment. Frequency of sessions may decrease to biweekly or monthly if appropriate and/or necessary.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes long unless otherwise agreed upon.
What’s the difference between EMDR and other forms of therapy?
While my approach includes multiple modalities, EMDR is my primary focus and has significant differences from other forms of therapy. EMDR is targeted toward specific distressing events and involves a neurological processing of said events. This requires less cognitive processing as it works on how memories are stored in our bodies and neural pathways.
Do I have to do EMDR?
Not at all! I provide more traditional talk therapy as well, incorporating somatic work, attachment theory, acceptance, mindfulness and compassionate approaches.
What is your cancellation policy?
Notice Requirement: I require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments.
Late Cancellations: If you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, a fee of $100 will be charged to the card on file.
No-Shows: If you fail to show up for your appointment without prior notice, the $100 fee will also apply.
